Art Workshop
Our creative workshops provide different creative opportunities, led by Bex, an experienced and passionate guide. Sessions explore various artistic mediums and inspire creativity often through learning about famous artists.
There’s an open invitation to experiment and learn new skills, get things wrong and try again - which all builds confidence. Most materials are provided, though learners may want to bring their own.
This is also a self-directed creative space where our young people have the choice to join the workshop or work on their own projects whilst co-creating alongside others.

Workshop one: Tech Explorers
Step into the world of invention with this fun, hands-on two-hour workshop where curiosity meets cutting-edge tech. We’ll be diving into the possibilities of Raspberry Pi and Arduino—tiny but powerful devices that can bring your ideas to life.
Thanks to a generous donation, we now have a treasure trove of Raspberry Pi gear (seriously, a huge box!) plus stacks of Arduino kits ready to be tinkered with. Learners will get the chance to experiment, build, and create with real hardware.
Whether you want to light up LEDs, code a mini game, or design your first gadget, this is your chance to explore, make, and invent in a space where imagination leads the way.

Workshop Two: Fashion & Design
This tutor led small group Fashion Design Workshop is a hands-on journey into sewing, upcycling, and creative garment design. Learners will build confidence with the sewing machine, learning essential techniques such as threading, troubleshooting, and mastering stitches from straight lines to decorative finishes.
Along the way, they’ll explore patchwork, appliqué, embroidery, and fabric mixing, while gaining an introduction to pattern making and garment construction. Projects will include designing and sewing a custom tote bag, creating accessories like scrunchies and headbands, and upcycling old clothing into unique fashion pieces.
As the course develops, learners will progress to shaping clothes with seams and darts, experimenting with embellishments, and presenting their creations in a celebratory showcase.
