Come join our workshop in the Learning Lab at the Old Market Science Creates incubator, led by Ben at the Science Creates Outreach team in collaboration with one of the amazing innovative companies in residence. Take a four week deep dive into a project with us.   

 

Deep Tech and Engineering

This four-week block explores how advanced technologies are tackling real-world problems: from decarbonising battery production and improving manufacturing efficiency, to using novel hardware and software across a range of disciplines. 

Learners will take part in hands-on activities including modelling battery electrochemistry, building machines powered by Newton's laws, and programming from first principles. In the final session, they'll also have the opportunity to tour the lab corridors of a working Deep Tech incubator to find out more about the companies using science and engineering to improve the health of people and the planet.

Sessions are for 12 years + , however if you feel your young person is ready then we do accept learners from 10 years old. ​

Workshops cost £15 each and need to be booked for the four week block. If making payment is difficult please email and we can support you with booking.
