Duke of Edinburgh's Award

It can be difficult to find somewhere as a home educator to undertake the DofE Award scheme . Following some fantastic conversations with the team at Thornbury Open Award Centre and the DofE HQ

we are now licensed and can offer DofE to our members.

Timings:

January to August (completion by December).

Meet-Up Schedule:

Sessions are 10:30 – 12:30 on Fridays unless specified.

23 Jan at The Aquarium: Get stated, enrol on platform, plan skills 

27 Feb at The Climbing Hangar: Team building

20 Mar The Hub:  Planning Adventure day 10:30am - 1:30pm

30 Mar Ashton Court & Leigh Woods  Outdoor adventure day 930am -  330pm

24 Apr Location TBC -  First Aid training 10:30am - 1:30pm

22 May Location TBC  Expedition prep + emergency procedures

17th July - Expedition prep continues.

17 - 21st Aug  Biblins, Forest of Dean Practice + assessed expedition,

5 day, 4 night camp out
 

Total Cost:  £230 per participant
